Jay,
I wanted to thank you for all the time, research, passion, and careful writing you poured into your wonderful book Loving Science. The comprehensive scope was very helpful. I have often thought how great it would be for someone to tackle the big picture, bringing together the many facets of science upon which evolutionary theory tries to impose its foolish perspectives and show how this all ties together. You have done that so beautifully and powerfully!
When reading, I felt like I was drinking out of a funnel because you were distilling so much knowledge and history onto a single page. And your distinction between science and interpreting history was so accurate and crucial. I have always carried that distinction in my mind, but it is not what you typically read or hear.
… All your time and labor was well worth it for those of us who will benefit greatly from your research, knowledge, and the spiritual explanations given toward the end. So well done.

Written by a scientist but for the average person, Jay’s book is a fun and easy read with difficult subjects brought down to earth (unlike THE EMPIRE). Even if you do not share his views you should have a ready defense for yours if asked and would need to be able to counter with his clarity. Not meant as an “in your face” work, he presents in a straight forward, even humorous fashion his position on many difficult subjects. Well worth the read, and if impressed get a few extra copies to give to family or friends. – Tom Lambiase, July 2023

Loving Science but Not the Empire by Jay Sonstroem is well worth your attention. It is filled with facts that current “science” does not promulgate. It is well constructed to cover A to Z information in an interesting and well documented fashion with 18 pages of end notes. Some chapters are very technical but easy to follow even if the readers can’t fully understand the information. Some readers may not be familiar with his Star Wars references, but it is easy to replace the words, Star Wars, with government or science as promoted today.
His analyses of DNA, the complexity of the human body, carbon dating and evolution provide the scope of the book. I plan to keep it as a reference book to combat “false information” prevalent in the world in 2023. Carol and John, Oct. 2023
